Is Barack Obama a serious man?

The Obamas started a regular music series at the White House so they and their friends and family can enjoy some tunes;

Barack Obama flies off to Copenhagen to push the global warming story;

flies off to promote Chicago as an Olympic site;

flies up to New York City to take in a Broadway show;

plays golf with an avidity that eclipses that of Dwight Eisenhower;

rewards Democratic donors with perks at the White House (including a birthday visit to the Oval Office, a bowling party, a movie in the basement of the Presidential
mansion);

chats up sports on national television;

and, most recently,

makes the all important situation room a backdrop for celebrities to have photos snapped sitting in the chairs that would normally seat our most important security officials.

Meanwhile, millions are unemployed; Iran is on its way to a nuclear bomb;
our debt is growing by the second.

Statue of "little barry" Obama tossed out of park

Oh noooooooo. How could they move this cute little statue of Obama-as-boy from a public park???? Only to place it on the grounds of a school he allegedly attended as a mere boy????

The group opposing the placement of the Barack Obama statue in Menteng Park,
Central Jakarta, may withdraw their class-action lawsuit as the statue was
removed for relocation on Sunday night. "I personally agree [with the removal],
but I need to discuss first with other group members whether we really need to
stop the trial process," said Heru Nugroho, a representative from the
50,000-member Facebook group, "Take down the Barack Obama statue from Menteng
Park".

Franken, Dems Attack Obama Leadership (what leadership?)

Politico
reports that an angry confrontation ensued when David Axelrod met with
Senate Democrats in private this week. While Obama’s meeting with
Congressional Democrats was so managed as to be boring, Axelrod took the brunt
of anger from the caucus, especially Al Franken, not exactly known for his
sunny disposition. However, Franken was not alone in complaining about the
lack of leadership from the White House:

Sen. Al Franken ripped into White House senior adviser David Axelrod
this
week during a tense, closed-door session with Senate
Democrats.

Five sources who were in the room tell POLITICO that Franken
criticized
Axelrod for the administration’s failure to provide clarity or
direction on
health care and the other big bills it wants Congress to
enact.

The sources said Franken was the most outspoken senator in the
meeting,
which followed President Barack Obama’s question-and-answer session
with Senate
Democrats at the Newseum on Wednesday. But they also said the
Minnesotan wasn’t the only angry Democrat in the room.

“There was a lot
of frustration in there,” said a Democratic senator
who declined to be
identified.“People were hot,” another Democratic senator
said.

The only surprise is that it’s taken this long for Democrats to
acknowledge — in private — what everyone else has already deduced in broad
daylight. Barack Obama doesn’t want to lead or govern as much as he wants
to campaign. Even when he campaigns, as he did in both his State of the
Union and September 2009 speeches to the joint session of Congress, Obama rarely
offers any specifics to his proposals, preferring to avoid getting entangled in
the various interests competing on the issues.

Of course, many of us predicted just that from a man who racked up an
impressive number of “presents” in the state legislature before coming to
Congress. Before taking the oath of office as President, Obama had never
been put in the position of providing political leadership. Even in the
legislatures, Obama didn’t perform any leadership duties except as a chair of a
committee in Illinois. As President, Obama has done nothing at all to craft his
own agenda, outsourcing it instead to Nancy Pelosi and offering only tepid
support of various ObamaCare components.

Under those circumstances, the presidential scolding during the SOTU
was bound to ruffle feathers among the Democratic caucuses. Sen. Mary
Landrieu (D-LA) reacted immediately by accusing Obama of having “mailed in” a
leadership role in the speech. The only surprise about Franken lashing out
at Axelrod, the architect of Obama’s approach, is that he didn’t beat Landrieu
to the punch.

Still, what did Democrats expect when they backed Obama for the
nomination?

Obama reveals one of his core problems. Sorta.

President Obama paid tribute to a Navy corpse-man ( I believe he is Christian Bouchard, of Haitian descent) at the National Prayer Breakfast yesterday. It was very moving.

My dad was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corpse during World War
II and fought in the brutal Battle for Pelelieu, among others. I was very proud
of him.

The President is also the Commander in Chief of the United States Marine Corpse.

My affinity for the military began with my dad's service and my knowledge of the extraordinary sacrifices that our men and women in uniform have made for this great country.

Because of this, I enrolled in Army ROTC while in college so I could earn a commission in the U.S. Army. As such, I was a member of the Corpse of Cadets.

Some of my best memories as an ROTC Cadet was of our parade ground
marches, when we were accompanied by our Drum and Bugle Corpse,
playing stirring military march music.

Since I love military music and parades, every year I attend the Independence Day parade in D.C. This parade is always led by police and fire units and marching contingents from our services (Army, Marine Corpse, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard).

One of my favorite units is the U.S. Army's Old Guard Fife and Drum Corpse , an element of the 3Rd Infantry Regiment. They are dressed in Revolutionary War era uniforms and play patriotic music from that period. It is very moving.

I want to thank the president for his recognition of Navy corpse-man Bouchard.

I just wish that some one of the dozens of Ivy League educated advisors
in the White House would tell the president (himself Ivy League educated, and, we are told, the most brilliant man ever to trod the earth), how to pronounce corps.

On second thought, maybe it was the TelePrompTer's fault.

Dreams from My Father: a son's odyssey to fulfill his father's political ambitions ....

If there is a mystery at the heart of Barack Obama's Dreams From My Father, one thing is not left a mystery, the fact that Barack Obama organized his life on the ideals given to him by his Kenyan father.

Obama tells us, "All of my life, I carried a single image of my father, one that I .. tried to take as my own." (p. 220)

And what was that image? It was "the father of my dreams, the man in

my mother's stories, full of high-blown ideals .." (p. 278)

What is more, Obama tells us that, "It was into my father's image .. that

I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself."

And also that, "I did feel that there was something to prove .. to my father" in his efforts at political organizing. (p. 230)

Barack Obama, the father, was a radical economist and socialist.

Barack Obama's father, a Harvard trained economist, attacked the economic proposals of pro-Western 'third way" leader Tom Mboya from the socialist left, siding with communist-allied leader Oginga Odinga, in a paper Barack Obama's father worte for the East Africa Journal.

As Odhiambo and Cohen write, "The debates [over economic policy] pitted .. Mboya against .. Oginga Odinga and radical economists Dharam Ghai and Barrack Obama, who critiqued the document for being neither African nor socialist enough."

The social and economic policies proposed by Barack Obama the son -- candidate for the Presidency of the United States -- reflect the influence of his father's radical and socialist aspirations.

A paper written by Barack Obama's father, titled "Problems Facing Our Socialism" (published July, 1965 in the East African Journal, pp. 26-33), expressed the father's positions on socialism and planning in Kenya:

1. Obama advocated the communal ownership of land and the forced confiscation of privately controlled land, as part of a forced "development plan", an important element of his attack on the government's advocacy of private ownership, land titles, and property registration. (p. 29)

2. Obama advocated the nationalization of "European" and "Asian" owned enterprises, including hotels, with the control of these operations handed over to the "indigenous" black population. (pp. 32 -33)

3. Obama advocated dramatically increasing taxation on "the rich" even up to the 100% level, arguing that, "there is no limit to taxation if the benefits derived from public services by society measure up to the cost in taxation which they have to pay" (p. 30) and that, "Theoretically, there is nothing that can stop the government from taxing 100% of income so long as the people get benefits from the government commensurate with their income which is taxed." (p. 31)

4. Obama contrasted the ill-defined and weak-tea notion of "African Socialism" negatively with the well-defined ideology of "scientific socialism", i.e. communism. Obama views "African Socialism" pioneers like Nkrumah, Nyerere, and Toure as having diverted only "a little" from the capitalist system. (p. 26)

5. Obama advocated an "active" rather than a "passive" program to achieve a classless society through the removal of economic disparities between black Africans and Asian and Europeans. (p. 28) "While we welcome the idea of a prevention [of class problems], we should try to cure what has slipped in .. we .. need to eliminate power structures that have been built through excessive accumulation so that not only a few individuals shall control a vast magnitude of resources as is the case now .. so long as we maintain free enterprise one cannot deny that some will accumulate more than others .. " (pp. 29-30)

6. Obama advocated price controls on hotels and the tourist industry, so that the middle class and not only the rich can afford to come to Kenya as tourists. (p. 33)

7. Obama advocated government owned and operated "model farms" as a means of teaching modern farming techniques to farmers. (p. 33)

8. Obama strongly supported the governments assertion of a "non-aligned" status in the contest between Western nations and communist nations aligned with the Soviet Union and China. (p. 26)

The relationship between Obama and Ted Kennedy, per the Kennedy biographer, was not as Obama wanted to present it. Read the entire interview.

what do you think of that description of it?

So -- somewhere between euthanasia for sickly elders and other weaklings as part of his nationalized health care plan, Obama's government will continue to retain it's democrat voter base .... But not without the assistance of ACORN in rigging the census AND a crash --- RASH of really, really cheepie cars built to Tom Daschle's personal assisted suicide specs.

But back to the global war against that evasive warming climate-thingy:

Environmentalists claim the new standards should cut carbon dioxide from tailpipes by 30 percent by 2016. Though that is unlikely, for the reason just stated, the fact remains that cars and light trucks subject to fuel economy standards make up only 1.5 percent of all global man-made greenhouse gas emissions. Thus, Americans will be paying more for cars and continuing to die in ever-greater numbers on the road, all for less than one-half of one percent of man-made greenhouse gas emissions. It is almost as though hardcore greens want to save the planet by killing people, but are only accomplishing the killing part.

Finally, one of the entirely predictable “unintended consequences” of raising the price of new cars will be to keep poorer people driving their old, greenhouse gas-spewing cars. Thus, it should surprise no one that Congress is already considering a “cash for clunkers” program designed to encourage trade-ins. This proposal is a twofer: not only does it attempt to patch a glaring flaw in today’s plan, but it would help save the jobs of all those UAW workers Obama and the Democrats rely upon every other November. Pushing the poor into these new Obamamobiles will also kill more people at the margins, but dead people tend to vote Democratic, so there is no net loss for the Democrats.

Obama's Poison Prison Photos, Michelle's Mangled Health Care, and No New Nukes

American soldiers, American civilians, and other innocent people are going
to die because Pres. Barack Obama wants to release photographs of prisoner
abuse. Note: I said, “wants to release” —not “has to release,” or “is being
forced to release,” or “will comply with court orders by releasing.” The photos,
quite likely thousands of them, will be released because the president wants
them released. Any other description of the situation is a dodge.

If President Obama wanted to refrain from releasing these photos in order
to protect the military forces he commands or promote the security of
Americans — his two highest obligations as president— he could do
so by simply issuing an executive order. The applicable statute expressly allows
for it, just as it provides for Congress — now in the firm control of the
president and his party — to withhold the photos from disclosure. Instead, Obama
and congressional Democrats are choosing to release the photos.

If the prez has any regard for the lives of our troops (as opposed to his campaign rhetoric), he'll refrain from releasing those photos and move on with the business of the people.

Back in August, the Chicago Sun-Times reported on Michelle Obama and David Axelrod’s involvement in a University of Chicago Medical Center program that steered patients who don’t have private insurance — primarily poor, black people — to other health care facilities.

Obama is also ignoring the advise of the military community and his Secretary of Defense and cutting critical nuke defense systems ....

Obama's new budget plan includes a little-noted sea change in U.S. nuclear
policy, and a step towards his vision of a denuclearized world. It provides no funding for the Reliable Replacement Warhead program, created to design a new generation of long-lasting nuclear weapons that don't need to be tested. (The military is worried that a nuclear test moratorium in effect since 1992 might endanger the reliability of an aging US arsenal.) But this spring Obama issued a bold call for a world free of nuclear weapons, and part of that vision entails leading by example. That means halting programs that expand the American nuclear stockpile. For the past two budget years the Democratic Congress has refused to fund the Bush-era program. But Obama's budget kills the National Nuclear Security Administration program once and for all.

These cuts are so dangerously illogical and "disarming," watch for Gates to resign in the near future ....

Obama Photo Op Touts Horror of 9/11 ....

JC Penny's sale of Obama campaign jewelry is one thing, but buzzing Ground Zero for a photo op for Obama is wayyyyy beyond decency and common sense.

Why, pray tell --- would anyone conduct a photo op of Air Force I being chased by a fighter jet over the site of the 9/11 attack in New York?



WHY???

More proof that the man who currently sits in the Oval Office (when he's not campaigning for 2012 and beyond or doing photo ops for his friends and supporters) is a totally self-absorbed insensitive idiot who thinks little to nothing about the needs and sentiments of the American people.

Why not buzz the White House? The Pentagon? An empty field in PA????

One second thought --- what should we expect from a man who suggested that we should "empathize" with the poor muslims who attacked us on 9/11 .....

Romney on Obama as a timid US advocate

How many times can we regret that a man of proven leadership was not selected to run against Barack Obama? The more Obama allows the US to be denegrated by dictators -- the greater the regret that Mitt Romney was not the candidate ....

Obama apologizes to pirates ....

ROFL ---- this has to be one of the most realistic satires on Obama to date (material builds daily, of course):

Good evening. As you know, early yesterday, Somali-based pirates attacked
the Maersk Alabama, a freighter carrying relief supplies to Kenya. While we do
not yet know all the details, the Alabama's crew re-took control of the vessel
and forced the pirates off the ship.Since the pirates are still holding the
captain, I have sent FBI negotiators to facilitate his safe and speedy release.
I assure his friends and family that I will not stop until this man-made
disaster is resolved in a peaceful, tolerant and ecologically-sound
manner.

Obviously, this incident has raised many concerns among Americans.

There have been calls for justice and even violence against the misguided
perpetrators. But such an emotional reaction has led to the disparagement of
entire groups with which we are unfamiliar. We have seen this throughout
history.

For too long, America has been too dismissive of the proud culture and
invaluable contributions of the Pirate Community. Whether it is their pioneering
work with prosthetics, husbandry of tropical birds or fanciful fashion sense,
America owes a deep debt to Pirates.

The past eight years have shown a failure to appreciate the historic role
of these noble seafarers. Instead of celebrating their entreprenuerial spirit
and seeking to partner with them to meet common challenges, there have been
times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even
derisive.

Some of us wonder if our current Overseas Contingency Operation would even
be needed had the last administration not been so quick to label Pirates as
"thieves," "terrorists" and worse.

Such swashbucklaphobia can lead to tragic results, as we have seen this
week.

To address this issue, I have instructed Vice President Joe Biden to create
a cabinet-level Czar of Pirate Outreach and Buccaneer Interrelation.

In addition, June 1-7 has been designated as Pirate Awareness Week, during
which all federal buildings will fly the Jolly Roger and sponsor sensitivity
training.

Thankfully, my American Recovery and Reinvestment Act will fund free grog
and hard tack for all attendees.

Finally, to all pirates listening to international broadcasts, shortwave
services and ship-to-shore radio, let me say this:

Ahoy, me regret arr relationship has set sail in a scurvy manner. Arr
people share many mutual 'alues and concerns on t' raging main. Perchance, could
ye handsomely release the cap'n o' the ship and I assure that no harm will come
t' ye or ye hearties. Let us smite t' reset button and launch our seabond on a

Chinese yuan to replace US dollar

You knew when Treasury Secretary Geithner stated that he would be in favor of replacing the US dollar for another currency (the Chinese yuan), it was already in the works.

After all, US-hater and Obama-supporter George Soros had expressed his support for moving from US currency to the yuan.

China has also been arranging currency swaps with trading partners to bypass the U.S. dollar in trade settlements. Since mid-December, China has signed currency swap contracts worth 650 billion yuan (about 95.6 billion U.S. dollars) with six central banks in Hong Kong, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Belarus, Indonesia and Argentina.

These swap accords allow other overseas central banks to lend yuan to local importers who want to buy Chinese goods. Since these deals bypass the U.S. dollar, they reduce exposure to exchange-rate volatility and cut transaction costs for both parties.

Chen said these deals "expand the yuan's use in the region and pave the way for its global acceptance."

The rules are also good for Chinese exporters, who have long had to bill their foreign customers mainly in U.S. dollars.

... Oh please --- so they will not meet one-on-one at the Americas' Conference? Two of the most self-adoring, egotistical leaders in the world? Yeah right .... My only question is: who will bow to whom?
