Giving Credit where Credit is Due ---

The election of a bi-racial American is indeed an historic moment in this nation's history. In that regard, take nothing away from Barack Obama's inauguration this month. Now, more than ever, our nation needs him to succeed.

What may become his "Achilles' heel," however, is how his achieved this moment. Had he won election on the basis of personal merits -- without the proverbial stains of voter and campaign finance fraud, personal obscurity and deceit or political corruption -- his achievement would be celebrated in all quarters of this nation.

As long as characters such as Illionois Governor Rod Blagojevich, funder-raiser-turned-felon Norman Hsu and multi-billionaire activist George Soros represent his political tactics -- Barack Obama's legacy will likely be that of any other typical Chicago politician.

Too bad.

More later .....
